General Meeting Minutes

November 15th, 2023

Meeting called to order at 7:05pm

*Meeting minutes: from September 20th, 2023, were read and approved.

*Treasurer Report: from September 20th, 2023, was read and approved.

*Thank You’s: To Francis and Terri who provided dinner this evening!

*Side Walks: No update.

*Donation: $6567.00 donation accepted from Lake Stickney Conservancy, to be used for Capital Expenses, in particular the club house kitchen remodel.

*Repairs to Club House: The kitchen renovation will consist of…

*Cutting back wood floor due to rot where refrigerator is.

*Replacing kitchen floor.

*Replacing bottom cabinets and counter tops.

*Remove old appliances. Dish washer and iron stove.

*Replace light fixture with an LED option.

*2nd bathrooms standalone heater to be removed.

We have received two bids…

Bid #1 was $10550.00 completion end of November.

Bid #2 was $14175.00 completed in the beginning of 2024.

All scope of work was equal in both bids.

A motion was made by Stan Helewicz to approve Bid #1, seconded by Terri Helewicz, and majority approved by members.

~We have requested a bid for the front and back door replacement from both vendors.

~Sign out front needs updated to reflect new meeting dates. (TBD)

*Board and trustee postitions: Nominations were made at the September 20th, 2023 meeting.

This meeting, voting members approved,

Wistremundo Dones and Terri Helewicz for trustee positions to begin January 2024.

*Airplane noise: A neighbor emailed a request to discuss airplane noise in our community. Anyone with this concern should contact Paine Field directly.

*Community volunteers: There are many ways to contribute to the community without being on the Lake Stickney Community Club board. Please share ideas as they come up.

*Landscape: Ideas to beautify the landscape and general look of the club house and property. Will need volunteers to maintain. Suggestions were flowers, yard art, a mural, a stage, or cabana. Also suggested was to trade club house rental for goods or services. When complete have a celebration/grand re-opening of the club house.
