General Meeting Minutes

March 19th, 2025

Meeting called to order at 7:07pm.

*Board members present: Elizabeth, Wistremundo, Terry, Ethan, and Anne

*Meeting Minutes: from January 22th, 2025 were read by Wistremundo. Motion to approve by Ethan and seconded by several members.

*Treasurer Report: Elizabeth read through the accounting report for the last two months.

Updates were given on the totals for the bill payment, rent revenue and Google Drive. No reserves are available for repairs or maintenance. Seeking skilled contractor to replace clubhouse doors and frames.

*Membership discussion: Elizabeth discussed how membership recruitment is the goal for 2025. The goal is to increase membership to 125, which with that amount of dues paid would raise the cash to maintain the clubhouse. There are currently 22 members.

Some lifetime memberships were also discussed; the bylaws are being updated and a vote on those changes will occur on the next meeting. Among the bylaws amended will be the discussion of lifetime memberships and how they work.

Clubhouse rental fee discount will only apply to members who renew or come in on the first quarter of the year.

*Events Calendar:

Fisherman’s Breakfast is on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Event will be from 9:00am-11:30am. Committees needed to plan and execute the breakfast preparations. Two shifts of volunteers are needed. A Genius signup sheet will be sent to members.

Donations for the fish plant will be accrued separately from donations to the clubhouse. If the amount required for the fish plant are not reached in time, the money accrued will carry over to 2026 for the same purpose. The total required to order the fish is $1200, needed by early

June.

A printed copy of the newsletter draft was shared with the attendees. A discussion ensued regarding how many flyers should be printed and paper quality/color ink or black and white/paper type.

Volunteers needed to canvass neighborhood around the lake.

Community potluck will be on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.

The clubhouse microwave is not working. Debating whether to buy a new one or not.

A reminder to the attendees was made about renting the clubhouse on weeknights.

Board positions: Nominations for board positions are in November 2025. Anyone interested may notify earlier than November.

Community Garden: Susan discussed about a conversation with Terry from the gardening club who spoke on a previous general meeting in 2024. The discussion included topics of- irrigation for the surroundings of the clubhouse, options of removing the blackberries, and volunteers for the garden project.  

An action to add a QR code that links to the LSCC website in the flyer was proposed; Elizabeth to add it to the flyer.
